OUR STORY
Meet my Grandmother, Milly, pictured here in 1927 at the age of 17 years old. Milly was a lifelong gardener, selling her homegrown produce at summer markets and filling up her winter cellar with canned goods. Her favorite flower was Lily of the Valley and her cottage garden was filled with their scent along with wild roses, lilacs and peonies.
My mother Donna is also a gardener and I’ve spent most summers in her gardens picking beans, peas, tomatoes, raspberries, rhubarb, zucchini and cucumbers. Growing up in the Great Lakes region, as kids we loved to roam the pine forests hunting for wintergreen berries, wild blueberries and chamomile.
This simple life instilled in me a deep appreciation for our earth’s bounty and the importance of preserving it for generations to come. Join us in the journey towards a greener, more sustainable world, where every act, no matter how small, contributes to a brighter future.
